When Scott Carpenter flew to space, he used his Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute to seperate day from night, using the 24 hour display/ dial. Since then, the Navitimer Cosmonaute got an icon, for us and for many collectors worldwide.
Our offered ref. 809 from 1965 comes with the famous Venus 178 movement which got recently serviced. The watch still has its original dial and slide rule with lovely patina and its original hands.
The case remains incredibly sharp and appears to be unpolished with very nice bevels.
