Offered here is a particularly attractive Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16570, originally sold by Bucherer in Austria in 2004 and preserved as a complete set with its original box and papers.
The Explorer II was introduced in 1971 as a purpose-built tool watch for cave explorers, with its distinctive 24-hour bezel and additional hand designed to indicate day and night. With the Ref. 16570, Rolex further developed this concept into a highly practical GMT watch, powered by the renowned Rolex calibre 3185.
This example features the iconic white “Polar” dial, one of the most sought-after configurations of the 16570. Its crisp white surface and contrasting black details give the watch its unmistakable character and make it particularly attractive to collectors.
The watch is in very good condition, showing only minimal scratches and light signs of wear. An honest and exceptionally attractive example of the classic Explorer II, complete with its original documentation and provenance.
